If you’re struggling to manage your medical scrub inventory, you aren’t alone. Many health systems and medical facilities have a difficult time managing all of their scrubs. Staff members sometimes leave the facility wearing their scrubs, there may not be enough for all staff members, or staff may not be able to find the sizes they need.

At ImageFIRST, which offers medical linen service in Indianapolis, IN and other locations throughout the country, we strive to give back to our communities and improve the quality of life for those in need. There was inevitably a heaviness in our hearts when we saw the devastating impact of the hurricanes and other natural disasters that recently hit North America – but our locations across the country saw the resulting hardships as an opportunity to help our fellow community members.
ImageFIRST Healthcare Laundry Specialists is holding a Nation-Wide Backpack Donation Drive throughout the entire month of July, starting on July 3rd and ending on the 31st. At ImageFIRST Chicago, the healthcare linen and laundry branch serving Milwaukee, WI, and the surrounding areas, we’re proud to announce that we’re one of the participating branches. This will be the third year in a row that ImageFIRST holds the drive to help children in need as they get ready for the upcoming school year.
ImageFIRST locations across the country will soon be celebrating the fourth annual Patient Experience (PX) Week, which begins on April 24. The event is sponsored by The Beryl Institute, a global community of professionals who collaborate to improve the patient experience.
At ImageFIRST, having a positive impact on our associates, our community, our customers and their patients is at the center of everything we do, from our healthcare linen services in Louisville, KY, to our quarterly giving activities and associate appreciation programs.
We’re not alone in that mission: we partner with nationwide charitable initiatives dedicated to making life better for people in need. Back On My Feet is one such organization that we’re particularly proud to partner with.
What wouldn’t you give to see a child in your community succeed? Whether you’re a parent, sibling or someone just entering adulthood yourself, there’s probably a young person in your life that you’ve gladly helped along their path to becoming all that they can be. At ImageFIRST, a provider of healthcare linen services in Louisville, KY and beyond, we know that our customers are a crucial part of making sure that children in our communities stay healthy, whether through regular check-ups or life-saving surgeries.
But why put all the responsibility on medical facilities and other caretakers? We can come together as a community to help the children in our lives succeed, and having fun doing it, too. That’s why ImageFIRST partners with charities like Ronald McDonald House Charities and Habitat for Humanity, which help families, especially families with children in the case of the former, live and breathe easier in uncertain times. We also partner with schools across the nation that are doing remarkable things to rear resilient, capable and creative kids who will go on to have bright futures. Each time our associates attend one of these community giving events, they return with a visible glow of happiness.
This year, we’re preparing for back-to-school season with our National Back Pack Drive. The drive is just another way our associates approach community giving with enthusiasm, spirit and heart. Here’s how it works: ImageFIRST locations like ImageFIRST Chicago will purchase backpacks, and then select an organization (many of them schools) to donate them to. Of course, we can’t just drop off empty backpacks. In fact, organizations provide us with a list of materials they need, such as pencils, folders, art supplies and more.
Then, the competition begins. ImageFIRST locations compete with each other to gather the most donated supplies. Donations come from associates, leadership, and ImageFIRST at each location, but by no means is participation limited to ImageFIRST alone. Our associates will spend the month of July telling customers, vendors and community members about the Back Pack Donation Drive and the purpose it serves. If past Drives are any indication, there’s nothing better than a competition that also helps young people and other community members in need. Our associates are bound to have a blast again this year.

At ImageFIRST Chicago, sure, we operate out of one of largest cities in the U.S., but if you think about it, we’re only a few pastures away from farm country. Close your eyes and try to picture that type of landscape. You might be thinking about lush green scenery, corn fields, grain silos, barns and purple cows. Oh, to breathe the fresh and peaceful air of a place, bucolic and timeless!
It is an unfortunate reality that many hospital leaders and infection preventionists – 55%, according to a recent survey conducted by Infection Control Today – do not feel as if their facility’s environmental services department possesses the resources to adequately prevent the spread of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). Healthcare providers are constantly on the lookout for affordable and effective measures by which they can avoid transmitting pathogens from healthcare professional to patient, or patient-to-patient, and ImageFIRST Chicago has taken on this challenge with its innovative Cubicle Curtains program, available to clients in Chicago and surrounding suburbs.
At ImageFIRST Chicago, and all of our locations nationwide, we’ve worked hard to build ourselves a reputation for remarkable service and acts, both on-duty and off. Why? Because positively impacting the lives of everyone associated with us – from our customers and their patients to our associates and their families and communities – is an integral part of our company purpose.
