At ImageFIRST Chicago, and all of our locations nationwide, we’ve worked hard to build ourselves a reputation for remarkable service and acts, both on-duty and off. Why? Because positively impacting the lives of everyone associated with us – from our customers and their patients to our associates and their families and communities – is an integral part of our company purpose.
Charitable giving and volunteerism are just a few of the ways we strive to give back. This month and last, ImageFIRST Chicago associates have truly risen to the task, working with multiple organizations to arrange and staff various events that will benefit the needy in Chicago and beyond.
September: Feed My Starving Children Follow-Up
On Friday, September 18th, ImageFIRST Chicago associates participated in Community Giving Day: Give Where You Live! by working with the organization Feed My Starving Children. FMSC is a non-profit organization in which volunteers hand-pack meals that are nutritionally complete, to be shipped to partners around the world. They are then distributed to orphanages, feeding programs, health clinics and schools, with the aim of increasing the health of malnourished children and breaking the cycle of poverty.
During this year’s Community Giving Day, ImageFIRST Chicago associates worked to help pack lunches and facilitate for a shipment designated to arrive in the Philippines, through their partner organization Convoy of Hope.
October: ImageFIRST Casino Night Open House for Back on my Feet
October 9th brought ImageFIRST associates to a benefit held at the company’s Addison, IL, location for the Back on My Feet organization. A partner of ImageFIRST Chicago, this national 501(c)3 organization uses running to help homeless individuals create self-sufficiency in their lives, as well as provide self-esteem and health boosts along the way. An immensely successful program, 46% of those assisted by Back on My Feet show significant success in their lives after joining up.
Funds raised at this event were matched 100% by ImageFIRST Chicago, and donated fully to Back on My Feet. The company was also able to raise money through their ImageFIRST page on the Back on My Feet website, from those who were unable to attend but still wanted to donate to this excellent cause.
At ImageFIRST, we encourage all of our employees to participate in volunteer activities both with and outside of ImageFIRST events. If you’re interested in learning more about our charitable partners across the nation, visit http://www.imagefirst.com/Our-Community-Support.
